The purpose of this Luminess Tan review is to tell you what I think about my Luminess tan and their airbrush system for applying the product. Personally, I’m not too crazy about the tan, but I love the airbrush itself. Let me tell you a little bit about how it works.
Luminess is a self-tanning product that you spray on with an airbrush. Normally when you use any kind of self-tanner it takes a few hours for your tan to develop enough for you to be able to see it. This causes problems with streaking during application because you can’t tell where you’ve already applied the product and where you haven’t.
Luminess is different though in that it contains a special pigment that colors your skin during the application so you can see where you’ve already applied it. And then these pigments wash off six or eight hours later when you shower, and you’re left with a beautiful, even tan.
Because you use an airbrush to apply the product you’re supposed to be able to get better coverage with no streaking. However, it’s not possible to reach all areas of your body by yourself. For example, you’ll need someone to help you with your back. It takes a while for you to learn how to use the airbrush yourself, and now you’ve also get to find someone else who can use it to help you finish applying your tan. So this Luminess Tan Review’s a definite negative on the tanner.
However, I do like the Luminess makeup products and you apply those with the airbrush as well. They’re the same high quality products used by professional makeup artists and you get a flawless finish every time. So while I probably won’t continue to use their tanning products, I’ll definitely be using the airbrush and the Luminess makeup products.
